WWJD Day 4 - “What are you seeking?”
from Walking With Jesus Daily · host Daniel Huther
At the age of 30, Jesus began His ministry. This ministry started with His baptism (which we will cover) and immediate tempting in the wilderness for 40 days and nights. When He returned from the wilderness to Galilee (His home area) He began to call His disciples and perform supernatural works. This is where we are today in preparation for our journey. Are you ready to accept your true position in this life? Are you prepared to put Jesus where He should be in your life? Are you willing to follow Him because of what you have heard about Him? Are you curious enough to look past your own life and kingdom and follow Jesus? Even for a moment or an afternoon or a day? These men trusted John because of the “fruit” of his life. John was not about himself but only always Jesus. Who do you listen to? Do you really know them? Remember, satan uses all deception in every possible way. Who do we trust!? “The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ).” John 1:35-41 ESV I pray we follow Jesus together - starting now.
