WWYD: my in-laws don’t like me

Hi!!! It’s been a little bit but we’re back with another WWYD episode! This week your questions are about in-laws and a dependent friend. QUESTION #1: My partner is the best but his parents don’t seem to like me. They live overseas and they have no interest in visiting us. I try really hard to involve them in our lives, but they never reciprocate. I can’t help but think I am not who they wanted for their son or their family.  QUESTION #2: I feel like I’m in a completely different life stage to my best friend and I don’t know what to do. I’d be very happy to let the friendship naturally shift, however she is incredibly dependent on me.
