The unidentified (generally believed to be Paul) writer of the Book of Hebrews here again contradicts what Christ Himself says in the Gospels. Both scriptures are in the Bible, so where does a Christian draw the line. Here, we face another crossroads. Do you continue to just call the whole Bible "the Word of God" conflating the true Christian Gospel with all the other fantastic words devoted to God or do you consider it like cake. The Bible is the "Word of God" like a vanilla cake is vanilla, or lemon cake is lemon. There's a few tablespoons, at most of lemon zest or vanilla bean/ extract the rest in a cake. The rest of the cake is something else doing other necessary things in the recipe. Christ's Gospel is the leavening agent Christ demonstrates humility even before the Crucifixion, teaching us by example with a pun, washing souls clean, literally & spiritually.PASSAGE OF THE DAY 83"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation.
