Wynnstay Group plc delivered a strong H1 2026 investor update, demonstrating resilient company performance despite challenging agricultural market conditions, including softer demand, inflationary cost pressures, commodity price volatility, and a mild winter. Revenue remained stable at £304.1 million, while adjusted profit before tax increased 11.7% to £6.0 million, supported by higher gross margins, disciplined cost management, and the successful execution of Project Genesis. The Group also generated strong cash flow, increased net cash to £10.9 million, raised adjusted EPS by 15.5%, and extended its progressive dividend policy with a 3.5% increase, marking its 23rd consecutive annual dividend uplift. Management highlighted a robust fertiliser order book, expanding manufacturing capacity, and market share gains driven by investments in its Avonmouth blending facility and integrated GrainLink platform. Looking ahead, Wynnstay’s Strategy Genesis growth plan targets higher revenue, improved margins, enhanced return on net assets, and greater customer share of wallet through operational efficiency, capacity expansion, data-driven sales initiatives, and focused investment across its feed, arable, and specialist retail businesses. With a strengthened balance sheet, ongoing working capital improvements, disciplined capital allocation, and confidence in full-year guidance, Wynnstay is well positioned to deliver sustainable earnings growth, improved profitability, and long-term shareholder value despite continued macroeconomic and agricultural sector headwinds.
