(WZBC) Ep. 354 (1/2/25): Juan Soto - the King of Queens, Underrated Yankees Offseason, Francona’s Return, Cardinals & Chaim Bloom, Red Sox Update - Garrett Crochet Trade, Walker Buehler

In his return to the WZBC AM Sports Radio studio, Joey delivers an unexpected episode live on air. He starts out with Juan Soto’s decision to sign with the Yankees’ crosstown rival: the New York Mets. Following that, Joey explains why he thinks the Yankees may be better off by addressing other needs, similar to how the Clippers reallocated money this offseason for better depth. Next, he moves on to talking about Terry Francona’s return to baseball and Chaim Bloom’s five-year deal to be the next president of baseball operations for the St. Louis Cardinals. In his last segment, Joey dives into the Red Sox offseason with a breakdown of their trade for Garrett Crochet and their decision to sign Walker Buehler. Joey connects Chaim Bloom’s tenure in Boston with the Daniel Jones era in New York by making the case that they were not properly supported.
