X-Files Meets the Book of Revelation

REALITY IS A LOT CLOSER to The X-Files than we’d like to believe. It’s also a lot closer to the future laid out in the Book of Revelation. David Heavener is putting his vision of what that might look like on the screen with his award-winning series, The Last Evangelist. David, who’s written, produced, and directed the series, discusses his inspiration for what some might find a disturbing vision of the very near future, and how his background as a director of low-budget action movies in Hollywood has prepared him for a project that’s being produced without the strings that come with a big budget. The Last Evangelist recently won a Diamond Globe Award at the International New York Film Festival for Best Inspirational Series, and David received a Diamond Globe for Best Director—competing against some projects with many times the budget behind them. Episode 2 of The Last Evangelist debuts at 6:00 PM EDT Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Harvest Revival Church in Brookville, Ohio (suburban Dayton).
