She holds an MFA from the University of North Carolina.She grew up in Waterbury Connecticut, where Brass is set.She lives in Athens Georgia and works, maybe not for long, as an academic librarian.Brass is the story of a mother and daughter told from each perspective and over the passage of time, and in an alternating fashion.The city of Waterbury is as much a protagonist as our main characters, and the alternating chapters told from different viewpoints, in a number of ways. propel us through this book and give us lots to ponder about, our cities our family our futures.
