XII. The Mission is Love

from Ancient Wisdom Today · host Shaman Durek

Welcome to the Tribe.   Today I want to talk about relationships; what they did represent in the past and what they represent now. In the past, relationships were used to create a strong family bond through finances or power, as a form of societal protection – and that’s just how things worked. The old paradigm saw a woman’s place in the home so that the man could go out, make money, and support the home. As we progressed forward, just a little, we were able to form relationships with people not within our status... but the contractual agreement persisted. And you have to ask yourself: was any of that based in love? These agreements are based on ideas of power, tradition, and homogeneity – not love. And these old paradigms of relationships are literally tearing the very core of what a relationship is. It is NOT okay for you to be a slave in love. It is NOT okay for you to be a slave in love. It is NOT okay for you to be codependent in love. It is NOT okay for you to operate from a place where you think love is contractual. So I want you to know that I love you, I need you, I value you, I see you, I honor you, and I know how powerful you are. I know that you are always in the right place at the right time doing the right thing at the right moment. I want you to know that you are not alone. The Tribe does not judge. The Tribe embraces you.   Welcome to the Tribe.   Spread Your Love: shamandurek.com Instagram: @ShamanDurek Share your love with the Tribe. Click here to leave a review on iTunes.
