Until a few years ago, Northplace had not focused that much on Advent. Traditionally, Advent has been something celebrated primarily among liturgical churches like the Anglican or Lutheran traditions. But for us Christmas has been commercialized, the word twisted to mean what it shouldn’t, and the season hijacked by materialism.
