XtraChill 350

Liebste Hörerschaft! Diese 350. Ausgabe von "XtraChill" ist aus vielen Gründen etwas ganz besonderes - und das halbrunde Episodenjubiläum ist nur eins von vielen Highlights. Zum ersten Mal seit dem Relaunch dieses Podcasts im Sommer 2016 entstand eine Podcastfolge nicht im heimischen Studio, sondern wurde an einem anderen Ort produziert. Denn eigentlich sollte heute, am 15. Juli 2021, das große Hörerwunschkonzert stattfinden - aber leider hat sich nur ein (!) Hörer aufgerafft, einen Musikwunsch einzusenden. Tja - was tun? Glücklicherweise hat Plan B funktioniert, denn mein lieber Neffe und Podcastpraktikant Michel ist in die Bresche gesprungen und hat aus einem Pool von 40 Tracks seine 13 Favoriten ausgewählt. Und nicht nur das: er hat auch die Reihenfolge seiner Playliste festgelegt, ein schönes Themenbild diesen zweiten Teil der "XL-Summer-Special-Trilogie" fotografiert und sein Kinderzimmer für die Aufnahme zur Verfügung gestellt - wo glücklicherweise Andreas' alter iMac ein neues zuhause gefunden hat, der viele Jahre für "XtraChill" genutzt wurde. Also musste der liebe Andreas nur das Mikro einpacken und nach Bonn radeln, damit Michels Rettungsaktion gelingen konnte. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle auch an Stammhörer Roland, dessen Musikwunsch ebenfalls im Set berücksichtigt wurde. Dearest audience! This 350th edition of "XtraChill" is something very special for many reasons - and the semicircular episode anniversary is just one of many highlights. For the first time since the relaunch of this podcast in summer 2016, a podcast episode was not created in the home studio, but was produced in another location. Because actually today, on July 15th, 2021, the big listener request concert was supposed to take place - but unfortunately only one (!) listener has managed to send in a music request. Well - what to do? Fortunately, Plan B worked, because my dear nephew and podcast intern Michel stepped into the breach and selected his 13 favorites from a pool of 40 tracks. And not only that: he also determined the order of his playlist, photographed a beautiful themed picture for this second part of the "XL Summer Special Trilogy" and made his children's room available for the recording - where fortunately Andreas' old iMac has a new home which has been used for "XtraChill" for many years. So dear Andreas just had to pack the microphone and cycle to Bonn so that Michel's rescue operation could succeed. Many thanks at this point also to regular listener Roland, whose music request was also taken into account in the set.
