Podcast Title: The Magic of the Night Market Host: Duncan Topic: Food, Senses, and Local Culture.Focus: Sensory verbs (smell, taste, sound) and "Used to."[Script]"Hi everyone! I’m Teacher Duncan. I have a question for you: Are you hungry? Because today, we are going to my favorite place in Taiwan—the Night Market! When I first moved here, I was amazed. The night market is like a sensory explosion. First, the sounds. You hear the games, the shouting of the bosses—'Come look! Cheaper here!'—and the sound of food frying. Then, the smells. Some people hate the smell of stinky tofu, but I actually like it now! I 'used to' think it was strange, but now I think it smells delicious… not really. My favorite thing to eat is sweet potato balls. They are crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I also love the 'big sausage wrap small sausage.' Do you like that? It is so yummy and clever! But the night market isn't just about food. It’s about the feeling of the community. You see families walking together, teenagers playing claw machines, and tourists looking confused. If you go to a night market this weekend, try to listen to the English around you. Sometimes you can hear tourists trying to order food in English.  You should go help them!  Imagine if you are tourist in another country.  How would you feel if someone helped you?  You would feel happy and grateful Am I right?OUTRO:That is the end of our story. Good job! Now, can you answer the three questions? Listen again if you need to.__________________________________________________Comprehension Questions (English & Traditional Chinese)How did the teacher feel about stinky tofu in the past?老師以前對臭豆腐的感覺如何?What are the two textures of the sweet potato balls?地瓜球的兩種口感是什麼?What does the teacher suggest you do if you see a tourist at the market?老師建議如果你在夜市看到遊客該怎麼做?________________________________________________Vocabulary Highlights:Sensory - 感官的  Related to see, smell, taste, touch, or hear.Used to - 過去式   Refers to past habits or experiences.Chewy - 有嚼勁的 Needs a lot of work with your teeth (like boba).________________________*This is the conclusion of this episode.  Please give this podcast a 5-star rating on Apple podcast.  Your feedback is appreciated.  If you feel this podcast gives you value, please consider donating by clicking the link in the show notes.  Your donation will cover hosting cost and support this podcast.  Thank you very much and have a great day.*「本集節目到這裡就結束了。如果你喜歡我們的內容,請在 Apple Podcasts 給我們 5 顆星。如果你覺得這個節目對你有所幫助,歡迎你們的支持和贊助我們。你的支持會用於平台的費用並讓節目變更好。非常感謝你的收聽,祝你有美好的一天!」___________________________________________支持我 - iPass Money 0000005018504629Donation link - http://buymeacoffee.com/learnbylisteningEmail Me: [email protected]#LearnByListening#EnglishLearning#ESLPodcast#LearnEnglish#EnglishForKids#ListeningPractice#CEFR#BeginnerEnglish#EasyEnglish#EnglishStories#TaiwanESL#EnglishInTaiwan#A2English#B1English #JuniorHigh #MovingToTaichung #StudentLife #SchoolAnxiety #TaiwanEducation #EnglishDialogue #國中生活 #兒童美語 (Children's English)#英文聽力 (English Listening)#TaiwanNightMarket#夜市英文 ★ Support this podcast ★
