Yabby You (1946–2010), born Vivian Jackson, was an influential Jamaican roots reggae singer and producer. Known as "Jesus Dread" for his unique Rastafarian views, he formed the vocal group The Prophets and recorded the 1972 breakthrough single "Conquering Lion." As a producer, he shaped the 1970s roots era, collaborating with dub master King Tubby and launching the careers of artists like Michael Prophet. His atmospheric, deeply spiritual productions remain highly revered in dub and reggae history.
