Yamamori Izakaya plan closure following Hoxton Hotel dispute

After a months-long noise battle between Hoxton Hotel and Yamamori Izakaya in Dublin, the DJ and nightclub events at Yamamori Izakaya will end next month, with the Yamamori restaurant continuing to operate as normal until the end of the year…In a joint statement, Yamamori and Trinity Hospitality, the leaseholder of the hotel, said they had agreed a “mutually beneficial” solution that allows both businesses to operate “side by side”.Yamamori have also shared plans for a new venue “in the coming weeks”.While it’s disappointing, some who advocate for the nighttime economy and the night club scene say it’s time for progressive discussions and to develop clear and correct policies to allow for nightclubs and hotels to co-exist without one having to give way to the other.Sunil Sharpe, DJ and Spokesperson for Give Us The Night joins Shane to discuss.
