Year C, Advent 3

Join Fr. Aaron & Marissa Burt for this week's episode, in which they consider the readings for Advent 3, Year C in the Lectionary cycle: Zephaniah 3:14-20; Psalm 85; Philippians 4:4-9; Luke 3:7-20. They discuss the Gaudete Sunday, the reality of the Lord's forgiveness paired with expectant waiting for restoration, Paul's instructions to gentleness & unity, and John the Baptizer's message of good news. Notes: Apologies! Aaron's mic dropped off for the last few minutes, so you will notice a volume change in the last segment. --Dwell App Prayers of the People, Advent 1, Year C 2019 Book of Common Prayer Fleming Rutledge's book: Advent: The Once and Future Coming of Jesus Christ The Bible Project --Bible Project's Advent video series --Bible Project's video on John the Baptizer 9:50 Collect 10:37 Zephaniah 3:14-20 18:55Psalm 85 28:25 Philippians 4:4-9 38:33 Luke 3:7-20 Our outro music is an original song by our friend Dcn.
