Under recently obtained, Freedom of Information, alarming documents demonstrate a lack of transparency and an urgent need for environmental law reform to protect species from becoming extinct.The nuclear industry is pushing for the nuclear power ban and the uranium trigger to be lifted from the current review of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.The Yeelirrie uranium mine assessment process is a very clear indication of how environmental laws are failing in fair transparent processes.
