Yellow Brit Road: Long Distances interview!

from Yellow Brit Road · host Yellow Brit Road CFRC

Pan-Indian indie rock, shoegaze band Long Distances started during lockdown as a songwriting project between songwriter and guitarist Zubin Pastakia and singer Aarifah Rebello. They have since added a third core member in Apurv Agrawal (guitars, bass, synths, production), released their debut EP, been featured in Rolling Stone India, and have opened the Indian edition of the historic alternative music festival Lollapalooza. Zubin and Aarifah joined me to talk all about the EP, How The Mighty Will Fall, about gigs, touring, influences, writing, and being a musician in India's rising independent music scene. Here's the full, uncut interview! Touch that dial and tune in live! We're on at CFRC 101.9 FM in the Kingston area, or on cfrc.ca, Sundays 8 to 9 PM! (Full shows are available in the archive for 3 months from release) Get in touch with the show for requests, submissions, giving feedback or anything else: email [email protected], Twitter @YellowBritCFRC, IG @yellowbritroad.
