Jay got his CDL in 2021 and started with Schneider. After quickly realizing the scourge of mega carriers he made his way over to Yellow (YRC) because of the work life balance and benefits. Along the way he started documenting on social media some of toxicity among Yellow's tenured drivers, who all long for the good old days but stay at Yellow primarily for the benefits. Jay and I have a candid conversation about everything going on with Yellow, and why/how Unions can survive and do better going into the future. Perhaps Unions did their job with LTL freight and have created a standard to be met for those jobs. It may be time for those 22,000 Teamsters come next week to bring their unionization efforts to ATA affiliated carriers!
