Yeshua: Daily Tamid Lamb Offering Pt 9 ~ Binding of Isaac Foreshadows the Daily Tamid Lamb Offering

In Genesis 22:2, the God of Israel tells Abraham the following: Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Abraham was obedient. The very next morning he rose up early, taking wood with him and bringing Isaac with him and went to the place God had told him. What is the parallel? Abraham offered up Isaac as a burnt offering. Similarly, God the Father offered Yeshua as a burnt offering. Isaac was the “promised son” of Abraham, the miracle baby who was given to Abraham and Sarah in their old age. Similarly, Yeshua is the “promised son” of the Father. Isaac was the “beloved” son of Abraham. Similarly, Yeshua is the “beloved” son of the father. Isaac carried his “stake” (the wood) upon his shoulder (Genesis 22:6). Similarly, Yeshua carried his “execution stake” upon his shoulder (John 19:16-17). Abraham believed that God would resurrect Isaac. Similarly, God the Father resurrected Yeshua from the dead.
