Yeshua HaMashiach: The Holy Temple Prophesied by Jonah | 3,650 Minutes of Prayer

from Psalms23Wave · host Mathew Sekanjako

This is Day Fifty-Six of 3650 Minutes of Prayer. Today we read Jonah 2 and Matthew 12:38-42, revealing how Jonah’s ordeal was a living prophecy of Yeshua HaMashiach. Swallowed for three days, Jonah prayed from the "belly of hell" (Jonah 2:2), fixing his gaze on the Holy Temple even as he sank to the roots of the mountains.Jonah’s descent mirrors Yeshua's plunge into the deep to put hell to a public spectacle (Col 2:15). His gaze toward the temple prophesied Christ Himself—the True Temple destroyed and rebuilt in three days (John 2:19-21). While the Pharisees remained blind to the Sign standing before them, Jonah’s restoration previewed Christ seizing the keys of Hades and leading captives into life (Rev 1:18).Today, we recognize that the temple Jonah eyed from the depths is reflected in us; we are the temple of the Lord where the Spirit of God dwells (1 Cor 3:16). We interceded for a revelation of this "Holy Temple Declaration," praying that every believer would find life by looking to Christ within. We declare that salvation is of the LORD!Interceding & Revelation Scriptures (NKJV)Jonah 2:4, 7, 9 "Then I said, 'I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.' ... When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple. ... But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD."Matthew 12:38-42 "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. ... The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here."Matthew 26:61 "and said, 'This fellow said, "I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days."'"John 2:19-21 "Jesus answered and said to them, 'Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.' ... But He was speaking of the temple of His body."Colossians 2:9, 15 "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. ... Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."Matthew 12:6 "But I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple."Revelation 1:18 "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death."Matthew 27:52-53 "and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many."1 Corinthians 3:16 "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"Hebrews 1:3 "who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high."Ephesians 1:13-14 "in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory."Read whole chapter 2 of Jonah...There is One true God, the Creator of all things, revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is One God and One Spirit Who has redeemed us all. I am Mathew Sekanjako, a believer in Christ Jesus (Y’shua HaMashiach), the one Son of God. I serve and confess God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This interceding is offered in faith, in obedience, and in love, for all who will listen.
