Yesterday's Halachos Take #2 (Hilchos Talmud Torah 7:1-12)

from Rambam Bekius · host Rabbi Matt Schneeweiss

Have any questions, insights, or feedback? Send me a text! This afternoon (5/19/22), in our Rambam Bekius chavurah, we began by taking up a question posed in the introduction to the Chabad edition of the one-volume Mishneh Torah. That question is: What is the value of learning halachos in the Rambam if we don't understand what we're learning? After answering that question, we reviewed ALL the halachos we did yesterday, attempting to answer questions we raised and tying up loose ends. We concluded by reading the halachos which we hope to learn in-depth next week (בג"ה).----------מקורות:משנה תורה השלם (הוצאת חזק) מבוא וסקירה דף 30רמב"ם - משנה תורה: ספר המדע, הלכות תלמוד תורה ז:א-יבמועד קטן דף יז עמוד אמלאכת שלמה - עדויות פרק ה משנה וhttps://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/3002484/jewish/Why-Do-Jews-Put-Pebbles-on-Tombstones.htm/fbclid/IwAR2kpBh5uCXK_XfcI8LsHpUmETuGzGkukOXeLQ0LEfe0XlXzyiHoiL_Vza8#footnote4a3002484----------The Torah content from now through Lag ba'Omer has been sponsored by Adam and Estee Goldberg in honor of Savta Shoshana Sham'eh bat Menachem.
