寒冷的冬天来了，狐狸妈妈为了不让小狐狸的手被冻伤，决定去镇上帮他买一副手套。可是快到镇上时，狐狸妈妈却想起了差点被人抓走的可怕经历，不敢再往前走了，只好让小狐狸自己去镇上。狐狸妈妈把小狐狸的一只手变成人手的样子，并反复叮嘱他一定要伸这只手出去。可是小狐狸来到商店门口时，却因为紧张伸错了手……
