Ezr 3:10 And when the builders laid thefoundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests in their vestments cameforward with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, topraise the LORD, according to the directions of David king of Israel."匠人立耶和华殿根基的时候，祭司皆穿礼服吹号，亚萨的子孙利未人敲钹，照以色列王大卫所定的例，都站着赞美耶和华。Ezr 3:11 "And they sang responsively,praising and giving thanks to the LORD, "For he is good, for his steadfastlove endures forever toward Israel." And all the people shouted with agreat shout when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house ofthe LORD was laid."他们彼此唱和，赞美称谢耶和华说：“他本为善，他向以色列人永发慈爱。”他们赞美耶和华的时候，众民大声呼喊，因耶和华殿的根基已经立定。Ezr 3:12 "But many of the priests andLevites and heads of fathers' houses, old men who had seen the first house,wept with a loud voice when they saw the foundation of this house being laid,though many shouted aloud for joy,"然而有许多祭司、利未人、族长，就是见过旧殿的老年人，现在亲眼看见立这殿的根基，便大声哭号，也有许多人大声欢呼，Ezr 3:13 "so that the people could notdistinguish the sound of the joyful shout from the sound of the people'sweeping, for the people shouted with a great shout, and the sound was heard faraway."甚至百姓不能分辨欢呼的声音和哭号的声音，因为众人大声呼喊，声音听到远处。
