YIELDED VESSELS: FULLY CONTROLLED BY THE SPIRIT

📖 Scripture “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God...” — Romans 6:13 Devotional Message God’s desire has never been merely to visit His people but to dwell within them and lead them. The believer’s greatest strength is found in becoming a yielded vessel—fully surrendered and controlled by the Holy Spirit. A yielded vessel is not an empty person; it is a willing person. Yieldedness means giving God full access to your thoughts, decisions, desires, actions, and future. It is choosing daily to say, “Lord, not my will, but Yours be done.” Many believers desire God’s power but resist God’s control. We want divine results while holding tightly to personal plans. Yet throughout Scripture, God moved most powerfully through people who surrendered themselves completely to Him. Moses yielded and became a deliverer. Isaiah yielded and responded, “Here am I; send me.” Mary yielded and carried the promise of God. The disciples yielded and became instruments for transforming generations. The Holy Spirit does not force His leadership upon us. He invites cooperation. He desires vessels that are available, obedient, and teachable. Being controlled by the Spirit does not remove your identity—it refines and strengthens it according to God’s purpose. The Spirit transforms reactions, renews thinking, purifies motives, and aligns desires with heaven’s agenda. A Spirit-controlled life produces peace over anxiety, obedience over self-will, and purpose over distraction. You become sensitive to God's voice and responsive to His direction. Yieldedness also requires daily surrender. It is not a one-time decision but a continual posture of dependence on God. Ask yourself today: What areas of my life am I still trying to control? The greatest breakthroughs often begin where self-rule ends and Spirit-control begins. Allow God to take full ownership of your life. A yielded vessel becomes a powerful vessel in the hands of God. Today, Ask Yourself Have I truly surrendered every area of my life to the leadership of the Holy Spirit? Prayer Almighty Father, I surrender my heart, mind, plans, and future to You. Holy Spirit, take full control of my life and shape me according to Your purpose. Remove every desire for self-rule and teach me to live in complete dependence on You. Make me a yielded vessel for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏
