"Yes, you had 'Zombies.' But this is 'Zombie Redneck Torture Family.' They're two entirely separate species. It's like the difference between an elephant and an elephant seal." "Yes, you had 'Zombies.' But this is 'Zombie Redneck Torture Family.' They're two entirely separate species. It's like the difference between an elephant and an elephant seal." — Sitterson, The Cabin in the Woods Hey there! It's Mako. This episode covers #CabinInTheWoods 🪓 Heavy films back to back can wear you out — so this one was a deliberate palette cleanser. Cabin in the Woods tends to get labeled as dumb horror comedy, or horror party film. But watching it right after Funny Games? Hang on — this thing is absolutely packed with sharp satire and pointed criticism of the genre. Sit back and laugh out loud. Hunt for easter eggs and grin to yourself. Or dig into the themes and nod along seriously. A great film rewards all of the above 🎃 ーーーーー Podcaster Mako (@_macobana) started out sharing his unfiltered movie opinions on his talk show #Yomoyamakobanashi(#makobana) — and now those conversations have found a home of their own. There's no shortage of films worth talking about! New episodes drop weekly or bi-weekly. Share your thoughts on Twitter with #リルパル #ReelPal — we may feature your tweet on the show!
