蜆川に架けられていた橋。曽根崎堤に立っていた桜の大樹が 風によって倒れ、自然と丸木橋になったものを後に 架け換えたものといわれています。 1909年の大火で被災し再建されませんでしたが、 現在は交差点の名前として道路交通情報などでしばしばその名が聞かれます。
