from The Mind Full Medic Podcast · host Dr Cheryl Martin

Send us Fan MailIn this episode I am delighted to introduce Dominique Salerno, Yoga Teacher, Principal and Co-founder of The Australian Yoga Academy ( AYA) in Melbourne Australia.  Dominique has extensive training and experience in the practice and teaching of Yoga including particular expertise in Pranayama and Ayurveda. She has trained both in Australia and internationally under teachers she considers to be amongst the most knowledgeable in the world.  I am also proud to call her my teacher.  In this conversation Dominique provides an overview of Yoga but our particular emphasis is on its application in times of adversity and challenge, apt for our current situation individually and collectively.  I particularly wanted to tap in to her expertise and knowledge on the art and science of breathing exercises or as this is referred to in yoga, Pranayama.   Dominique provides a wonderful accessible introduction, tempered by the humility, humanity and good humour I have come to love and respect so much about her.  We reference a couple of videos produced by Dominique herself, which I have provided link to below including more information about Dominique and her team at AYA.
