This episode is all about reclaiming our space in restorative healing – Yoga is Black.This episode of The Unfolding: Presented by The Loveland Foundation with our new host, Rachel Keener, is joined by counseling psychologist and yoga teacher @Dr.Bernasha.Dr. Bernasha Anderson (she/her) is a licensed counseling psychologist, wellness consultant, and certified yoga teacher. She founded Thryve Wellness House PLLC, a private practice based in Washington, DC, to empower Black women, girls, and non-binary folx in our mental wellness journeys. Utilizing mind-body-based approaches such as yoga, mindfulness meditation, and breath practice, Dr. Bernasha helps individuals and families reclaim restorative healing tools that help them live a life reflective of their values.Dr. Bernasha works alongside organizations such as The Loveland Foundation and Cushman & Wakefield to develop employee wellness programming designed to support the mental well-being of their teams. She co-facilitates quarterly peer support groups for The Loveland Foundation where cohort members connect and heal within the community. Cohort members can access meditations facilitated by Dr. Bernasha through The Loveland Foundation. Dr. Bernasha also serves as one of the contributors to the foundation's monthly meditation series. This free series reduces barriers to mental health resources and aids cohort members in creating sustainable mental wellness practices. The Loveland Foundation would like to thank Dr. Bernasha for joining us for this episode.
