Forgotten by you, a pain so deep, Though you remember me in your sleep. I worry, and despair at times, it's true, But you give hope, ever strong and new. Your care, your caution, ever close to me, Thank God, you watch over me, I see! You've been with me in every time of need, And so I find my way to you indeed. Hurt by you, it matters not, you see, We've given comfort, often and so free. If you should leave, no harm it would impart, For at my heart I carry you, my sweetheart.
