I've decided that I want spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Now, that leaves me all kinds of challenges. Because I don't want to make spaghetti and meatballs just for me. I live alone here.

I would need to invite someone over. Not a problem. Favorite ex-wife lives less than a mile away. Maybe she would like that.

Challenge number two. I have no pasta. Easy to take care of. Go to the grocery store.

I hate going to the grocery store. But you know what? You want the spaghetti? You go to the damn grocery store.

I also need Parmesan cheese. And the next question is, do I just want it out of the can where you shake it on? Or do I want to take it and shred it myself? And I'm thinking I want to do that, but I don't have a shredder.

So I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to... Damn it. I guess I'll just start the podcast. And hello.

And welcome to the podcast. My name is Michael Kroos. This is The Daily Grateful. And I think what I'm alluding to with what I was starting there is, can you do things by yourself?

Do you need a team? Well, you know, I can do a lot of stuff by myself. I can mow my lawn myself. As a matter of fact, I like mow my lawn by myself.

I can do a bunch of stuff by myself. But when it comes to creativity, I fancy myself as a reasonably good writer. I've been told that I am a reasonably good writer. I have actually made dozens of dollars in publishing my own books on Amazon.

I literally made dozens of dollars doing that. But I do better with a team. And I used to belong to this Tuesday team where we would all meet on Zoom from all over the world. There was about six or seven of us.

And we would talk strategies and everything. And then we would start our assignment. And then we'd log on Zoom and we would work for two hours, just two hours, pounding it onto the keyboard, pounding it out there. And then we'd meet back and we would just share everything that we'd done.

And that was pretty cool. And I'm very grateful for that. I really am very, very, very grateful for that. And now I have this podcast.

I have The Daily Grateful. I have this really cool studio. I took my time. I built this studio.

It's cool. I have video equipment in here. And I've got professional, I mean, really good professional lighting. I could turn this into a video podcast just like that.

Well, you know, yeah, I have the stuff to do that. Okay, but could I do that just like that? No. You know why?

Because I can't do all this myself. There's a lot of stuff where I would need help. And I talked about this in another podcast. And when you ask for help, good things happen.

But I need help. I need a team for this podcast. I don't know if I want to do a video podcast. I bought the equipment.

I have it here. I can do it. But I rather enjoy communicating with you this way. But I need a team to do this.

So you're saying, how do you come up with stuff to talk about every day that has to do with gratitude? And the other day, what did I just do? Gratitude and car payments. What?

What? I just told my friend Doc about that. He said, you did what? I said, gratitude with car payments.

I did a podcast on it. Just really just sat right there and did it. And right now, I'm doing a podcast about how to develop a team for a podcast. And I don't know the answer to that because I don't have a team.

I've helped a lot of other people with their podcasts. And I've never helped my daughter with her podcast. As a matter of fact, I've helped her a lot. And she's really good at it.

And she has a team. Now, her podcast, Cassandra Explains It All, has a team. She's got people. She lives here locally, about less than a mile from me.

But she's got teams in two towns in California that keep track of things for her. She's abreast of all kinds of things that people that she reports on are doing. Just first-hand knowledge. Really good first-hand knowledge.

I mean, she knew a lot of stuff that you read about in the news. She knew about it as it was happening. She has a team. I don't have a team.

Well, one of the things I said, and I wrote some things down, I said, well, identify my needs. Yeah. What do I need in a team member? I need a team person who will come up with new ideas for my daily podcast.

When I say new ideas, just someone who would say, instead of me, who would say, Michael, why don't you do a gratitude podcast on having to eat a vegan diet for health reasons? I can't imagine that. But you know what? If I had a team member to assist me with that, I'd just give me that idea.

I could run with that. I could do a little bit of research, and I could run with that. Or my team members could do a little bit of research, and we could run with that. That's teamwork.

That's what I need. I need to find the right people, right person or people. Do you know who Claire McInerney is? You probably don't.

She's a team member of a podcast called Terrible, Thanks for Asking. She's one of like six people who are on a team that create this absolutely wonderful podcast. You would not believe how creative that podcast is, and it's all thanks to not only Laura, the host of the podcast, but the rest of the team work hard to put that thing together and produce that thing. They also produce a daily podcast called It's Going to Be Okay, and it's a team effort, and it's a fabulous podcast.

When I wake up in the morning before I crawl my butt out of bed, I tell Alexis, play that podcast for me, and it does, and it starts my day wonderfully, all because of a team effort, which is what I'm trying to do here. I'm trying to make this effort for you something that you can look forward to to help build your gratitude. That's what I need. I need a team.

You want to be on my team? My email address is michael.grose, C-R-O-S-E, at gmail.com. Send me an email. Tell me why you'd make a good team member.

By the way, you're going to get paid absolutely nothing. You know how much money I'm making on this podcast? I'm making absolutely nothing. You know how much my daughter makes on her podcast?

She's cranking out almost a couple grand a month or so, probably more by now, on her podcast. But then again, she has a team. They're building something. She has three kids that she has to raise to.

But, you know, she went for two years and didn't make a dime. Now it's starting to kind of pop up there for her, and that's good because, you know, she has to buy health insurance for her children because of Florida government stuff. Anyway, I hope you're having a terrific day, and just know that anything that you set out to create, the first thing that I would advise you to do is to be grateful for the idea that you come up with the idea to create something. How cool is that?

I mean, really, seriously, how does it get any better than that? You come up with an idea, you think it's a good idea, and you can go for it. So start with that. And then from there, see if you can identify people that can help you.

Bounce things off of people. Yeah. I'm very grateful for all of this. Well, that was today's exciting podcast.

We'll see you tomorrow with more stuff. We'll see you tomorrow with more stuff.
