Our Esteemed Guest for Today is Sheryll E. Roberts. In the early part of her life, Sheryll was sexually abused and mishandled by family members resulting in open, promiscuous living. She became an incest survivor and as a result, tried overcoming the obstacles stemming from that hurtful part of her life, but still struggled with depression, suicide, and self-loathe. After failed suicide attempts, Sheryll then committed herself to personal healing by forgiving her abusers and herself while establishing a foundation to help others to do the same.  In 2006, Life of Hope After Abuse Foundation (LHAA) was founded. LHAA is non-profit organization promoting awareness against sexual abuse and helping other victims get the help they need to overcome their traumatic experience. God had given Sheryll her voice back and this foundation is designed to inspire others to SPEAK OUT and UNLOCK THEIR VOICE OF VICTORY and HEALING.   Sheryll was led to write a book in 2014 titled “FROM VICTIM TO VESSEL” expressing the process of pushing through pain and walking in purpose. Since then Sheryll has released a new book titled “MY BODY IS NOT YOUR PLAYGROUND” (AMAZON BEST SELLER), a children’s book written to empower children with the right to say NO when being violated. She is now a BOARD CERTIFIED CHRISTIAN COUNSELOR, specializing in sexual assault among other issues others face.
