You Are Not Alone: Postpartum Depression, Hope & Healing
from Among The Lilies
I'm sure many of you have been hearing a lot about the Lindsay Clancy trial. I don't want to get too deeply into the details of the case, but so much surrounding it is disturbing and heartbreaking, and I wanted to share the response of a normal, real woman and mother. In this episode, we're having an honest—and deeply needed—conversation about postpartum depression: the thoughts, emotions, fear, isolation, and overwhelming moments that so many women experience but may be afraid to talk about. If you're a mom struggling right now, I want you to hear this: You are not a bad mother. You are not alone. And if you feel broken, remember this: those who aren't broken don't need a Healer. There is something so beautiful about allowing the Savior to SAVE. In this episode, I share my own experience with postpartum depression and the healing and hope I found along the way. My prayer is that you'll find that same HEALING and HOPE. Christ is BIGGER than our shortcomings. He meets us in the hardest places and reminds us that we don't have to walk through them alone. Ladies, cling to the Cross. Lean on your husband. Reach out to your good girlfriends. Let people love you, support you, and walk beside you. And please, when you need professional help, reach out for it. Most importantly, know that there is HOPE. You don't have to suffer in silence. There is hope. There is help. And there is healing.
