“You can’t connect the dots looking forward only backward” Steve Jobs, a tribute to Season 1

from Can't Call Your Mom with Nicole Weston · host Nicole Weston | Motherless mothers navigating life after motherloss

In today’s episode, we are going to look back at Season 1 and celebrate. I wanted to share my gratitude for all of you. After many years of wanting a podcast, something kept pulling me back.  I’m reminded of the quote, “You can never connect the dots looking forward, only by looking back.” By Steve Jobs. I am honoured to have shared stories and conversation with individuals  who have been so brave to talk with us. All of them encompass motherhood. I wanted to create a safe container for raw conversations and a space to talk about what is going on behind the scenes.  How we are redefining motherhood so we can live life on our terms and know they are not alone. With celebration of an incredible season, I am ending season 1. I realized that times are different from when the show started. We are moving into a space where we require systems to break down because we are deserving of so much more. We can’t be silent anymore. I invite you to join us in Season 2.  We are stepping into a space that allows us to move deeper. Since the birth of this passion project our world has been forever changed. AND this is a great thing, we have seen deep tragedies over the last few months and now more than ever we must stand together as allies in The Black Lives movement. Season 1 is complete and I am so grateful. I am beyond excited and honoured to curate Season 2 as I embrace everything I have learned and will continue to unlearn. I want to hear from you. What have you loved?  What is it you are looking for? What do you want more of? Thank you Thank you Thank you Mama, I see you, mama you got this.
