You Can't Recall Kshama Sawant

In this inaugural episode, Sandeep and Erica explain why Seattle socialist Kshama Sawant appears to have survived a recall campaign and speculate on what it might mean for the future of Seattle and the American left. Erica also discovers she has something in common with Sawant: They both love HBO's Succession. Finally, Erica and Sandeep are tearful over the death of singer, guitarist, and libertarian Michael Nesmith. Note: In the recall campaign, Sandeep consulted for a political action committee, "A Better Seattle," which supported the recall effort.   If you like Seattle Nice please help support this pod on Patreon https://patreon.com/seattlenice?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=creatorshare Support the showYour support on Patreon helps pay for editing, production, live events and the unique, hard-hitting local journalism and commentary you hear weekly on Seattle Nice.
