As a talented entertainer and student of music I am on a mission to reach the masses and enlighten the souls of people with lyrical eloquence and substance creating timeless music that is positive, true, and elevates the spirit. I released my debut promo CD, entitled “All the Above” in 2011 gaining dedicated listeners in several cities after my 2008 appearance on American Idol. My time on Idol led to many opportunities including opening for Ledisi in 2013 after winning a local musical contest. I have graced audiences all over the country with my unique blend of R&B, jazz, funk, hip-hop, and blues. Hailing from the north side of Nashville Tennessee, I draw from her culture to enhance my R&B sound influenced by artists like Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, Mini Ripenton, Nina Simone, Chaka Khan and Donny Hathaway. I am currently setting up a digital project release to promote my new single  “BNA | Black National Anthem.” A project dedicated to spreading knowledge about Kwanzaa.
