You Don’t Need to Know Everything to Begin Learning
from Beyond Borders: A Filipina’s Playbook Hosted by Marie
I didn’t start knowing what I was doing. When I began working online, I didn’t even know how to send a proper work email. I had no experience, no right tools, and no clear blueprint of what I was doing just a borrowed headset, a computer that sounded like a fishing boat, and the guts to start anyway. In this episode, I share what it really looked like to learn while doing: sending tailored applications late at night, getting rejected almost daily, attending multiple interviews a day, dealing with blurry webcams, roosters and barking dogs during calls, and screens going black in the middle of meetings. This episode is about starting before you have all the answers, learning through real work, and understanding that not knowing everything doesn’t mean you’re not capable it simply means you’re at the beginning. I talk about: How I learned by doing instead of waiting Why rejection helped me narrow my direction What discipline and focus looked like in real life How mentorship, mindset, faith, and consistency shaped my growth If you’ve been waiting to feel “ready” before you begin, this episode is for you. You don’t need to know everything to begin learning. You just need to start.
