"You Follow Me" | John 21:20-25

The first question Peter asked Jesus after he’d been restored was, “Lord, what about this man?” While Peter should have been focusing on Jesus’s plan for his life, he fixated on John. Jesus said to Peter, “What is that to you? You follow me!” We can spend our whole lives obsessively comparing ourselves to others rather than focusing on God’s plan for us. Jesus wants to spare us that. He has a unique calling on your life that is full of blessings. So let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2)Take-Home Message: Following Jesus requires focusing on Him.- Jesus endures my constant comparing (20-21).- Jesus decides my unique calling (22-23). - How do I stay focused on my unique calling? - Mind my own business. - Make time for God to reveal my unique calling. - Listen to the guidance of other Christians.- Jesus eludes my complete knowledge (24-25).
