You know me by Kai-Anne Clews

from Original Christian Poetry · host Kai-Anne Clews

Oh, my sweet Lord, my Champion Grace, My ever-present teacher, I see your face in joy and necessary woe, I have no hidden feature. I can only feel you know me better, Then I can yet know myself, You know what my heart can weather, You know the balance of my soul’s wealth. You know what lies before me, As I try to understand what lies behind, In private pride and desolation, Thou saw me, To the fullness of Time. I know that I have work to do, If only to push past my flaws, I know my light comes direct from You, To clutch me from those jaws. I lift my face and hands to You, As I set them to my tasks, I give my heart to weight of truth, No matter how challenging or vast.
