Now, the problem is that many people try to hang on to a little of the old, and they want to bargain with God. They want the new, but they also want the old. So many people don’t get the victory because they won’t let the old things in their lives go. They’re very comfortable with these old things. They don’t want to let them go the old patterns of life, the old plans. You see, if you want Christ, you will become a new creation because God’s Holy Spirit will be upon you and in you. And the old things in your life, because of His presence, will pass away.
