The Bible describes the lives of Jesus and His early followers, showing that people chose to follow for many reasons. John 3:1-17 (NLT)- In this passage, a Pharisee comes to Jesus to explore His teachings. He wants to figure out exactly who this Jesus guy is. He asks some good questions. We can’t fully tell if this was a test for Jesus or a genuine exploration for the sake of his spirituality. - Fear…hesitation…trepidationWhat does it mean to say yes to Jesus? - For some here, you may have said yes a long time ago. - For some in here, that “yes” may be very recent. - For some, you may be wondering what is missing from your life. You may be unable to pinpoint it, but you know you are looking for something. The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or is going, you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit. “I Said Yes” because:- I wanted hope. - I needed purpose. - I needed love. - I didn’t want to go to hell. - I needed forgiveness. Saying “Yes” is not a one-time event. “Helping people take their next steps toward Jesus Christ, together.”What’s your next step? - We will gather each morning for the next 21 days, or you can watch sometime during the day. - Small groups will be walking through this book. Find a group to meet with. - Continue to seek - Pray - Read your Bible - Attend corporate worship/small groupI am not merely learning facts. I am learning a relationship. I want to know things about God. But learning about God is not the same as knowing God.
