Lisa is passionate about supporting veterans and military families, equitable educational opportunities so all students can succeed, and empowering girls. She loves traveling and adventure so you know we had all kinds of things in common! Lisa leads the Howard County Office of Veterans and Military Families and is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Bright Minds Foundation (https://brightmindsfoundation.org/), the education foundation of Howard County Public Schools. She is super proud of the effort to build the Howard County Veterans and Military Families Monument in downtown Columbia, Maryland (https://www.howardcountyveterans.org/the-monument/). Lisa also volunteers as a mentor at Ohana, a student mentoring program (https://ohanahc.org/).Lisa embodies her motto "listen, learn and lead with your heart" and you will too!
