There’s something powerful about presence. Just showing up changes lives — and not just the lives of others, but our own.Six years ago, I met Jesus in the dump in Mexico City through a woman named Olga, who showed me the radical love and heart of God. I met Him again in Vijayawada, India, where children rescued from human trafficking filled my heart with joy as we danced, sang, and shared in the classroom. Their faces reflected the love of Christ.In Kolkata, I walked with the Missionaries of Charity and visited Mother Teresa’s center for lepers — the poorest of the poor, the forgotten, the dying — and yet, even there, presence shines bright.This is what Jesus did for us: He showed up.
