You Will Know a Tree -- EP. 256
from Excelling in Christ Hosted by Clarence Fell
In this episode, I dig deep into one of Jesus’ most practical teachings: “You will know them by their fruits.” Words are easy, anyone can sound sincere, spiritual, or conservative, but the real test is the consistent direction of a person’s life. I talk about why it’s vital to compare what people say with what they do, whether they’re politicians, preachers, or Bible class teachers. Using Scripture as our foundation, we’ll explore how false teachers work slowly and subtly often mixing truth with just enough error to pull people away from God over time. I’ll show how this happens not only in the broader denominational world but sometimes within groups that still carry the name “Church of Christ.” We’ll discuss how to test the spirits, judge righteously, and protect our hearts from deception. This isn’t about nitpicking honest mistakes, it’s about spotting deliberate, persistent drift away from God’s will. Ultimately, it comes down to one question: is the fruit leading you closer to God, or further away? Join me as we learn to see beyond appearances and stand firmly on book, chapter, and verse.
