Young Caregivers and their struggles

Dr. Feylyn Lewis, Ph.D. discusses how she became a caregiver at age 11 and how it has affected her life, how her brother Ferrell left college to care for Feylyn and their mom. We are happy to report  Ferrell did go back to finish college!Dr. Feylyn discusses the importance of Mental Health for young caregivers, and what their struggles are such as anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm.
