Young Guns (1988)
from Sequelcast 2 and Friends Hosted by Mat Bradley-Tschirgi
Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss Young Guns. Billy the Kid (Emilio Estevez) leads a bunch of hooligans into battle against the crooked Lawrence Murphy (Jack Palance). Tiger Beat heartthrobs in cowboy duds is the name of the game in Young Guns. Loosely inspired by exploits of Billy the Kid and company, this flick has a traditional story marred by a dated butt rock meets synthesizer score. Mat loves My Name is Dolemite, the new Eddie Murphy movie available streaming on Netflix. Thrasher finds The Bed Sitting Room to be a surreal British satire on a man mutating into its titular namesake.
