Your childhood is the reason why you're the way you are now

from Create with Franz · host Franz Sidney

If you or a loved one are suffering from an insistent bad habit that is ruining your life, an addiction to porn, alchol, smoking/chemical substances, too much work/stress or failing health despite good intentions/good diet... there is hope. Data published from the CDC shows a strong correlation between Adverse Childhood Events (ACE) and many conditions including diabetes, depression and addiction. Those events might be remembered in a faded, benign and rationalised way 'strict parents', 'doting uncle', 'hard-working Dad', ' brother in hospital', 'moved to 3 cities in two years'. However, in some cases what we thought was 'real life' is what 63% of adults experience: trauma. In this episode I will share my findings about those connections: - How past trauma triggers us today - What we can do if we are stuck in our old ways physically or emotionally due to trauma Healing doesn't happen overnight: it's a process.
