She brings her embodied experience of losing her first child Finlay during childbirth to her work as a teacher and writer about grief. Joanne facilitates creative grief projects - including a Grief Pen Pal Network, online Grief Mapping course, and Grief Workshops - through Inviting Abundance (invitingabundance.net). She teaches Perinatal Loss trainings on behalf of the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath, and Death and Homegrown Families.
