The charity work with volunteers to give vital support to elderly people in the area who are lonely and suffering with social isolation. SOP are appealing for 'befrienders' to join their team and visit elderly people in their home, giving up a few hours of their team to make a new friend and create a bond that would mean the world to a lonely elderly person. Kate also previews the launch of SOP's 'cinema club' and chats about the various group activities they co-ordinate, including days out, group meals and monthly activities at the Crown Hotel.
