Your Inner Whisper

The Soul’s Intent encourages that we should never ignore our inner voice. Also, that the emotions that accompany these voices are not negative. It is their pairing that teaches and causes growth. We must re-enact the injustice of losing ourselves to hurt feelings if we are to ever recover our connection to our spiritual (soul) beginning. Feelings (before wounding) are manageable. When those feelings get hurt, we are still too young to know what is happening. In truth, spiritual or emotional angst is our motivation to self-correct. Because we are too immature to know better, most of us martyr ourselves to the ego’s anger. We have yet to realize that without spiritual angst, we would never awaken to the present. Because anger diminishes when it’s not fed, the remnants of our emotional beginnings leave us with trace anxiety. We come to know these remnants as a frightening internal whisper that disturbs us. This whisper is out first experience with self-inquiry: “Am I more than my ego?” There is comfort in this question because the soul knows we are. This spiritual truth is the same for everyone: ‘If we are not grounded while in our anger, we are like a moth to a flame and we will suffer.’
