Your Kingdom Come — The Prayer of Moses

Opening a series on the prayers of Scripture, this message turns to Exodus 33 and Moses' plea, "If your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here." Moses asks not merely to know God's ways but to be given the obedience to follow them. The teaching presses a question to long-time believers: do we hunger for God's presence the way we pursue our hobbies and passions, investing comparable time and longing? Moses refused God's protection, provision, and promises without God's presence, and would not walk any road that drew him away from it. The relationship God offers is described as more than a transaction, an abiding union closer than the word "relationship" conveys. The landing is a call to seek God's presence in homes, careers, and choices, trusting it as the one thing that produces real change.
