Your Library, Your Vote

The library levy is back on the ballot—and we’re breaking down what it means for Eugene. In this episode, we chat with LRCS Executive Director Josh Bates and Library Director Angela Ocaña about the history of past levies, the real-world changes they made for patrons, and what’s being proposed now. You’ll learn what the levy funds, why the City is bringing it forward now, and the most important services it would protect or strengthen. Plus, we explain the City Council process and how residents can follow along and share feedback. Whether you’re a regular library user or simply value community access to information, this episode offers a clear, balanced look at what’s next—and how you can make your voice heard.
